Notre Dame De Namur University
Notre Dame de Namur University is a fully accredited, independent, Catholic, co-educational, master's university founded in 1851. Come to the campus that's settled in the peaceful, wooded community of Belmont, California – just south of San Francisco, one of the most exciting cities in the world, and at the northern edge of the Silicon Valley, the heart of a metropolitan area filled with the world's leading high tech companies. It's within walking distance of coffee houses and ethnic restaurants. NDNU provides a number of modern facilities including an art gallery, theatre, and computer labs, as you can see on our tour. It has a student/faculty ratio of 11 to 1. Over $19 million in scholarships, grants, and loans were awarded for 2004-2005.
Clinical Psychology
Notre Dame de Namur University has long been known for the quality of psychology therapy programs leading toward MFT licensure. The Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (MFT) prepares graduates well to pursue their goals of becoming practicing therapists. The MA Clinical Psychology program is based upon the scientist-practitioner model. We currently offer two programs in this area: MA in Clinical Psychology and MA in Clinical Psychology/MFT. At NDNU, we emphasize both theoretical and experiential learning while preparing our students in the major knowledge bases in clinical psychology, counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy and psychotherapy.
