For High School Students
College Credit in High School
If you know you want to go to college, talk to your high school counselor about taking classes that will count toward a college degree later on.
Most college credit programs offered in high school are completely free so they can also be a great way to save money.
Some of the programs your high school may offer include:
Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement courses are free college-level courses offered to high school juniors and seniors. Many colleges and training programs accept passing Advanced Placement exam scores toward your degree.
International Baccalaureate
International Baccalaureate is a two-year diploma program that helps prepare students for college. Many training programs accept passing International Baccalaureate exam scores toward your degree.
Community College
Some high schools allow students to take classes at local community colleges. These classes usually count toward both a high school and a college degree.
