Medical Insurance Billing and Coding
Medical billing and its related occupations are among the fastest growing opportunities in the healthcare industry. Medical Insurance and Billing and Coding professionals perform a variety of administrative functions within a health care company, this includes: organizing, analyzing, and technically evaluating health insurance claim forms and coding diseases, surgeries, medical procedures, and other therapies for billing and collection. The medical billing career field is perfect for the individual who wishes to work behind-the-scenes within a health care facility, rather than directly with patients. The purpose of this Medical Insurance Billing and Coding Program is to provide students with the appropriate theory and hands-on training necessary to prepare them for entry-level positions as medical insurance billers and coders. You will gain knowledge of basic coding definitions and how to apply those codes to medical documentation. This medical billing program is a 720 hour course, which consists of seven modules. The program also includes 160 hours of actual experience working in either a tutorial classroom setting, or in an outside facility within the medical billing field. This will help you build your confidence and medical coding skills.
