Southern California University Of Health Sciences
Welcome to Southern California University of Health Sciences, recognized as one of America's premier educational institutions for complementary and alternative medicine. Our 38-acre campus, a short drive to the Pacific Coast in Southern California, is a great center of learning and discovery. Our main campus, located in Whittier, is home to the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (Chiropractic College), one of the most recognized names in chiropractic education graduating Doctors of Chiropractic since 1911. Our university mission, “to educate students as competent, caring and successful health care practitioners of integrative medicine,” has created the opportunity to offer to our growing student population new and exciting programs, including the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, established in 2001, and our newest addition, The School of Professional Studies, launched to meet the growing demands of a wide range of needs of health professionals.
Chiropractic
Our curriculum gives you a distinct advantage over graduates of other chiropractic schools. Classes and labs are strategically integrated with one another, allowing you to absorb information in a natural and logical manner. You will participate in hands-on learning experiences that will explain what procedures you need to know for each condition, teach you effective treatment methods and then allow you to hone your skills by working with actual patients. You will become proficient in diagnosis, able to identify and effectively treat disorders responsive to chiropractic procedures, knowledgeable in how to prevent illness and skilled at helping people achieve and maintain optimal health. The ten terms require three to four years of study.
