Yo San University
At Yo San University, we teach acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including tai chi and qigong, and operate a professional community acupuncture clinic. Our mission is to help students cultivate their own energy, achieve and maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit, and lead happier, more balanced lives. Yo San's accredited Master's Program in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (MATCM) has a reputation as one of the finest, most academically rigorous in North America. Yo San graduates consistently achieve among the highest pass rates of all acupuncture schools on the California Licensing Exam. Our community acupuncture and TCM clinic on the west side of Los Angeles is the focal point for our traditional Chinese Medicine training.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Yo San's curriculum is field-based, problem-oriented and guided by the Taoist principles of spiritual growth, balance and harmony. Students learn to become TCM healers in an intimate, supportive environment led by experienced practitioners who are committed to academic excellence. Yo San has a diverse faculty. We have a core of native-born and trained Chinese instructors who have studied, taught and practiced at some of China's top TCM Universities, some from distinguished families of Chinese practitioners. Today acupuncture is a licensed medical profession in over 40 states and the District of Columbia. The program takes four years to complete and endows students with a master's degree. (Students may enter with 60 units of undergraduate coursework.)
