Traditional Chinese Medicine
Five Branches Institute offers a professional Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes coursework representing the "five branches" of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, Herbology, Tuina (Chinese medical massage), Energetics (Qigong and Tajiquan) and Dietetics (Nutrition). Five Branches offers its Master's program in English and Chinese, in day, evening and Saturday schedules. This enables students who need to maintain their jobs while studying the opportunity to pursue their dream of becoming a licensed acupuncturist with our experienced faculty members. Both the standard and evening programs may be completed in four years attending four days per week with the opportunity to accelerate for early completion. Both programs offer you intense and challenging study in the field of Chinese Medicine with a strong Western Medicine aspect facilitating collaborative professional work in all areas of the health care field. The professional degree prepares you for the California state licensing board examination to become a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.).
