Job description:
Anesthesiologist technicians assist the anesthesia team in the planning of technical support for patient monitoring. They clean, organize and prepare anesthesia monitoring equipment. They also identify malfunctioning equipment, troubleshoot equipment problems and refer serious problems to technical repair personnel. Technicians are also responsible for maintaining supplies and collaborating with other hospital departments.
Work environment:
Anesthesiologist technicians work in hospitals and surgical facilities.
Training requirements:
Anesthesiologist Technicians are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, although some employers may require certification.
