Job description:
Anesthesiologist assistants assist in developing and implementing anesthesia care plans. This may include obtaining preoperative data, such as taking medical histories and preparing for the administration of anesthesia. They operate bedside electronic monitors associated with anesthesia and operating room care. They may also provide recovery room care and assist in the intensive care unit.
Work environment:
Anesthesiologist assistants work in hospitals and surgical facilities. They may also work in pain clinics.
Training requirements:
Anesthesiologist assistants are required to earn their master's degree.
