$155,204 – $177,400

Job description:

Nurse anesthetists prepare and administer anesthetics to patients during surgeries, births or other medical or dental procedures. They often work with physicians and other members of a team to provide care. Nurse anesthetists are also responsible for managing patients' responses to anesthetics and use a variety of techniques and equipment in their day-to-day jobs. Nurse anesthetist jobs require the ability to manage a high degree of responsibility and work independently.

Work environment:

Nurse anesthetists work in hospitals, surgical care, and other healthcare facilities and are the primary providers of anesthesia care in rural areas.

Training requirements:

Nurse anesthetists are required to complete a Master's program in nurse anesthesia and pass a national certification exam.
