Music TherapistSalary range:$31,000 – $53,000 Job description:Music therapists plan and direct treatment programs using musical activities to help rehabilitate patients with physical or emotional disabilities. They may instruct an individual or large group how to play a musical instrument, or encourage patients to sing, write songs or listen to music. Therapists regularly evaluate the patient’s progress and effectiveness of the treatment plan, working closely with physicians, nurses and psychologists. Work environment:Music therapists may work in hospitals, rehabilitative facilities, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, schools and private practices.
